Milford Ramp Closed for good?

I read somewhere that the Milford boat ramp was planned to re-open in the fall of 2018. Talked to someone from the state and was told it won't happen any time this year and may be lost for ever. It seams that the department of transportation needs the area for ongoing projects repairing I95. Is there any truth in this? Why cant the state just take over the Stratford boat ramp under lineament domain laws so we can all access the river?

Damn hope thats not true. I looked on DEP site few weeks ago and it said it was gonna open this fall, figured they would come up short one way or the other seeing anyone in charge of anything state run is a hack.

It's true. Again the boaters and fisherman of CT are screwed. No one from deep will comment on this because the ramp is gone for access to one of CT major rivers for ever.

I read a few days ago that there will be a wetlands restoration in that area, and then the launch...it is a bit nfoggy I this old man;s memory, however.

Nothing surprises me in this state anymore. If it’s true that’s a damn shame.

Bummer. Been waiting for that to open.

DEEP, as of 7 days ago, claims to have no information that the confirm the original post. I read the Milford Mirror article, seems like a more up to date timeline IF they still plan to re-open the ramp.

May 2019 estimated. We all know what that means is to screw all ct sportsman. We will be lucky if it ever opens again. My info came from the deep not some fake representative trying to appease the voters with more lies.
