500ft rule exception? - 07/09/18 01:31 AM

is there an exception to the CT law prohibiting hunting within 500 of buildings/dwellings? i thought i heard of one being discussed as it relates to removal when they are destroying livestock or agricultural products. if there is such an exception, would it apply to shooting (air rifle or .22lr firearms) things like raccoons, opossums, wood chucks... if they are destroying a home garden?

Not Encon, but I believe there can be an exception to the 500 foot rule if you get written permission from the owner of the building/dwelling that you are within 500 feet from.
