West Haven Sandbar

was out on Saturday on WHSB- as expected, there was a pretty good crowd of people fishing. as it got dark, a lot of the families left and the night crew kinda settled in. We noticed a few guys walking back towards the parking area with one guy straggling behind about 300feet carrying a garbage bag over his shoulder. seemed a little weird until we saw the DEEP officer had them pulled aside and were them checking licenses/short fish.

was nice to see EnCon out there- that place is rife with people taking shorts maybe this'll discourage some others from doing the same

Glad DEEP was there! Would love to know what the “penalty” was/will be.

When my brother and I used to go down on mothers day we always had the place to ourselves. Glad to see the poachers are getting caught.
