2 State of Louisiana records broke!

2 State of Louisiana records broke! - 02/02/17 09:54 AM

Year is starting out totally stupid.

A 41 pound Blackfin tuna. New state record

A 140 pound Amberjack. New state record

The fishing is heating up! 2017 is just beginning. Wish I could transfer pictures. You can see on THT in the Gulf Coast section. Maybe somebody with more computer skills can get a picture of these monsters.

These fish were caught in Venice. I had nothing to do with these fish just passing on interesting info to melt the ice up there. Keep the stoves cranked up. Spring is coming.

That amberjack is HUGE. God only knows how they got that out of rig and up...... Those things fight hard!

A 50 pounder will give you all the fight you can handle. I have gotten a few in the 80's but 87 was my biggest.

My biggest blackfin was 34.6. It was a monster and if I had recorded it would be 5 or 6 in the state.

You don't have to worry about passing on info to melt the ice...ice never froze up here...at least not in New London County lol. Nice post.
