Couple of Blackfish Trips - 10/17/17 11:20 AM

Headed out Friday 10/13 and Sunday 10/15 for a couple trips. Friday we hit the Clinton wall with 7 other boats. Bite was ok, managed 4 keepers between 3 of us (biggest 19.5 inches) plus a couple blues for fish cakes (saw a blitz on the way over) and a 17 inch Seabass. We had a lot of shorts as well.

Sunday was tougher. Headed out in the morning and went over to the Thimbles to get out of the wind and rough water, anchored up to a small rock pile I know (thanks to a dear friend). Ended up with 2 keepers and about 15 shorts between two of us. Water temp was around 63 degrees.

For some reason I can't get them to just be photos and not links frown

Nice report Jay. We did find some nice fish on that small rock pile last year.
