So...what's the strategy? If you get boarded in NY, claim that you're porgy fishing, and that the seabass in the cooler were caught in CT? Last year, there was a fleet of boats in NY waters in May.

I agree, but that's what shows under the 2017 Regulations, and I can't find anything different anywhere else. Let us know if you find something different.

Hoping to get t tomorrow for some early bsb. Missed the entire short black fish season boat just went in Monday morning. I'm thinking about south of fishers ot Bartlett or hatchet going out of old saybrook any advice would be great thanks!

Ended up at the rocks between Kelsey point and six mile reef. Gorgeous day water was beautiful outside the ct river one little sea robin to show for out there. Water is still 48 degrees!!! Got a little schoolie in the river and a little bugger catfish on some worms. Super windy out still though all in all fun though!
