Finally fixed the car brakes and took the wife out for a couple hour cruise.

After droping her off I hit the cove south of Jacksons for 30 mins.

Tossing a watermelon worm about 15 ft off shore, letting it sink and soft jerking back through the sparse minfoil, I let the bait settle, the line started moving out. I set the hook and the dance was on..

He was a fiesty lil'l bugger and put up a nice fight.. As I landed him in the boat the 10 lb. leader snapped.. Ha! this was one that didn't get away... Didn't weight or measure him as I didn't want to stress him out any more than needed. But I figure about 4 lbs give or take and around 16".

Zoar appears to be picking up with bass a little deeper now, about 6 to 10 feet of water.
Todays temp was 76 degrees..

Good Job Bogey! For reference purposes, freshwater bass will weigh about 1 pound at 13", 2 lbs at 16", 3 lbs at 18", 4 lbs at 20" and 5 lbs at 21". Really fat bass may weigh a bit more and really thin bass can weigh somewhat less.

Good to see that you are catching bass. The bite has been really good over the past 2 weeks.
