I've got the rest of the week off and I am attempting to fish every morning for a few hours. This being my first vacation in 3 years I really didn't feel like getting up this morning at 5:30 so 6:30 it was. Spent an hour at the Natchaug, the water was high and moving quickly but the rainbows are still there. I managed 3 in the hour. 1 was a wonderful catch, great fight accross the current and from way down stream from me. Measured in at 14", all 3 were caught on a white trout magnet with a strike indicator about 3 feet up from the lure. Fishing dead drifts, and setting the hook on any sign of a strike. All fish were hooked clean in the upper lip. I thank all the previous post about fishing trout actively. If anyone wants to head out in the windham area this week let me know. I am gong to add to the post tomorrow, and I think I will head over to the wtma in scotland this afternoon to see if it has gone down enough to be fishable. Thanks!
