I've got the rest of the week off and I am attempting to fish every morning for a few hours. This being my first vacation in 3 years I really didn't feel like getting up this morning at 5:30 so 6:30 it was. Spent an hour at the Natchaug, the water was high and moving quickly but the rainbows are still there. I managed 3 in the hour. 1 was a wonderful catch, great fight accross the current and from way down stream from me. Measured in at 14", all 3 were caught on a white trout magnet with a strike indicator about 3 feet up from the lure. Fishing dead drifts, and setting the hook on any sign of a strike. All fish were hooked clean in the upper lip. I thank all the previous post about fishing trout actively. If anyone wants to head out in the windham area this week let me know. I am gong to add to the post tomorrow, and I think I will head over to the wtma in scotland this afternoon to see if it has gone down enough to be fishable. Thanks!

I'm on vaca this week too, I understand about not wanting to get up too early!! I hit the Naugy in Beacon Falls this morning for about 1:45 and have nothing to show for it... River was a little high and fast, but it was nice to get a break from the yard work for a while!!! Good luck out there this afternoon and the rest of the week!!

Scratchinbottom I am going again on Friday morning and sunday morning. Let me know, I have not fished the Willi to much, only off of 44 in mansfield depot. But if you want to head over to the natchaug let me know. I try to go pretty early, I need to get out of the house before the kids get up, otherwise it's almost impossible to get out the door!
