Finally got the boat in the water this morning. Got into Dooley pond in middletown @ about 6:30. Air temp was 32 degrees and water temp was 46. Was my first time here, and needed to run the motor for a bit before I changed the plugs. Cruzed around for awhile, marked a decent amount of fish in 8-12 feet. Fished to noon with the big . Tried deep cranking, deep jerk baits, drop shot, power shot, tubes, senkos and everything short of T-N-T. Dont own any jiging spoons but have heard of a few being caught on them.

No worries though. Needed to get the boat in and burn off the fogging oil. Changed the plugs and boat ran great. Just need a few more degrees and we should be in business.

May try to hit zoar for a prefish, may need to look into those spoons...

Hey Donny must have just missed you ....got there around 1 or so. Was there for about 4 hrs. 2 bass around 13" apiece and 1 calioc and 1 perch. 3 of 4 caught on jerk bait. Bite there was tough at best. My wife got "cold" so I wound up leaving during prime time.... around 5pm or so. Oh well better then getting shut out, can't wait for sustained 50's. When I left my machine said it was 49.

Dooly pond is a good place most of the fish I caught there were in the 12"-15" range I have had most of my luck at the far end of the launce where the weeds get thick a red and black rubber worm is what I have had the most luck with although a spinner bait works well also.
