i was suppose to go surf fishing but my sea pole was in the other car and couldnt find the keys anyway left for my expecting wifes appoiment and afterwards we just drive around well we end up in hayward lake and men was it nice the water looks kind of dirty full of lily pads some branches and some underwater vegetetion started fishing with nightcrawlers at first a hit right away couldnt land it but got it to shore and man was it big oh well the day goes on prepared one of my rods for lures in put in a fake worm a few bites nothing landed in the mean while my rod with crawlers landing bull heads about 15 to 17 inches fatties well feed then change my worm to a salamander lizard watermelon color and men was it the thing to cast caught and even what seen like a hickory shad not sure the reason i believe that is because it had a single fin in top square and kind of inclind back great day cant wait to go out there again p.s. would be great if u go with a boat fish literetly jumping off the water everywhere
