Today I headed back out to Great Hollow Lake and got there just before 1pm. I headed right over to the spots where I was getting lucky yesterday. I threw a nightcrawler out and let it sink and stuck with my new 2" gold Rapala Original Floater. After about 5 or 6 casts I landed a 10" brown. A few casts later I caught an 11" brown. I got a few more hits on the Rapala and had only one hit on the nightcrawler. Later I kept on moving down the trail and tried different spots but had no luck. Later when I got to an area where there's a cove I had hits on my nightcrawler down below and lost 1 on it. I then decided to check out a spot where I saw a man catching trout when I was on the opposite side. I found that nobody was there so I fished it. Lots of fish were breaking around there. So I threw a nightcrawler out there on the bottom and tried my Rapala. I was having no luck with the Rapala over there so I then decided to switch over to my 1/8oz gold blade orange/black Roostertail. Right away I was catching a few. I ended up with a 12" brown and a 10" brookie. I then lost it on my next cast so switched over to my 1/16oz gold blade yellow/black Roostertail. I lost 2 and landed a 10" rainbow on it. I then tried to see what I could do with my size 2 gold blade Mepp's Aglia dressed. I had no luck with that. My next lure was my 2" tennessee shad Rapala Husky Jerk. I tried to see how well I could do by jerking it. Most casts I was getting hits while jerking. I lost 2 on it and landed a 10" brookie. After that I lost one more and stopped getting hits. I also tried my 2 3/4" vampire Rapala Original Floater but had no luck. Later I was getting hits on my nightcrawler and landed a 7" yellow perch. I switched back over to my 1/16oz gold blade yellow/black Roostertail and caught another 11" brown with it. As time got closer to when my ride was going to come, I headed over to the birdhouse by the big rocks. I had no luck there on a few lures including the Rapala. So by 5:30pm my ride came. I had another good day and caught a total of 4 browns, 2 brookies, and 1 bow making that 7 trout including that one yellow perch.
