After working all weekend and a need to wet a line, my son Nicolas asked to go fishing. After a quick dinner we headed down to the Yantic River to give it a shot. Water was still moving pretty quick so we hit a larger pool and found some fishable water. We were using mealworms weighted which seemed to be holding bottom in the eddy we were fishing. Looked as if we were going to end up with a as it was getting dark, when Nic's pole bent and moments later he had his first trout of 2004. He was so proud of his trout he had to hold it in the car on the way home \:\)

Great fish Nick. Even better smile. It tells the whole story. You should be proud Jeff. \:D ;\)

If there are fish to catch. I'll be there to my end.

how do you fish with mealworms on the bottom. Do you just put a hook on and above it put a split shot? I just use lures and im not sure.

A River Runs Through It: "Eventually all things merge into one and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs."
