We're not mind readers. Tell us where it is and we'll tell you if we fished there.

I know where that place is. I have driven by there numerous times. Are you even allowed to fish it? Half these good looking ponds have no trespassing signs there. It is in the Hattertown section of Newtown. It is off Hattertown road and I believe it is on Castle Meadow Road. Castle Meadow is at that like 4 way intersection of Hattertown Road in the historic district.

I have fished it before I am not totally sure it is legal to fish it but there was no signs? Caught some small largemouth and I believe I caught a Yellow perch there once. I don't think I have gone there yet this season but to be safe I would call the town and ask if they know anything about the pond being public. I was going to call the town/CTDEP before I go there next but like I said I haven't gone there in a little while. If I do find out I will repost it here.

That giant fish you saw jump was a carp, they are all over the pond and flipping out right now. There are bass, sunfish, and crappie in the pond as well. Never heard of anyone getting in trouble for fishing there, although it is a hang out at night sometimes for teenagers. Cleaned up around the pond for a school project 2 weeks ago and came up with a ton of beer cans and bottles.
I've caught bass there on senkos, tubes, and other plastics. Always near lay downs or stick ups.

Orange canoe, 9:45 - 1:30, that was me. Caught 6 LMB in 3 hours, 4 shorts, 2 keepers. That's about average for Hattertown in the middle of the day.
