My son Dan & I hit the river again this morning with our nightcrawlers and ultra lite set-ups. We hiked into the woods and found our limits of rainbows and browns. The rainbows were very aggresive and we had several clear the water. It was a blast!!!! Both of my sons along with some friends are over tonight for a big pan fried trout and dandilion salad dinner!!!

Woo hoooo!!!! \:D

Here's the biggest fish of the day a fat 17" rainbow... not a bad fish for the little Scantic River.

Glad to hear you and your son had success Pat. You just need some practice on the "Blaine Method" of holding a fish. That is a beautiful looking boat.

mmmmm fiddleheads. My dad went out fiddleheading on the CT river yesterday and came home with a 5 gallon bucket full. Nothing like a nice trout diner with fiddleheads on the side.
