I took my bucks to Trev’s Euros in Coventry for euro mounts and they were ready to come home yesterday. I’ve done them myself, but honestly I don’t want the mess and the hassle so I took them to the pro. Trevor uses beetles to eat the flesh away and clean the skull for final processing and bleaching and he delivers a nice finished product.
I known Issac here on the site used to do a bunch also but Trev is closer to my house.
I dropped them off to Trevor about Nov 10th and they were done on Dec 24th. So I would say 4-5 weeks, probably more or less depending on what else is in there for them to eat at that time. Then final clean up and bleaching time. I was ahead of the firearms season rush, but I know now he is telling people it’s a 4 month lead time.
Are you ever going to put them on a wall inside, or is your wife making you keep them outside in the grass behind the shed???!!!
I’m the man of the house (when she’s not home!)
Seriously, I already hung both of them in my office. My wife agrees that a house should reflect both people who live in it and hunting is a big part of who I am. I respect her space too so I don’t have mounts all over the house, but I’m also not forced to the garage or the basement either. This is our living room when you come in the front door.
