Going to try for kokanees and looking for suggestions. Is West Hill or East Twin? better. Also I read to use shoepeg corn. Is canned corn ok of get the frozen. Having a hard time finding either.

I fished West Hill at night years ago with a lantern using corn and salmon eggs.

Small garden worm. 1/2” piece
IMO- West Hill Kokanee are best tasting, East Twin are muddy.
Dodger with small long shank hook or wedding ring on a lead core.
Both lakes have been slow for Salmon you might have trouble finding the right depth with only lead core.

Picked up a few at Westhill 2 weeks ago. 1” green Mini squid rig with a tiny piece of worm 35’ down on the riggers. Started at 7:30. “My Kid wouldn’t wake up till 6:30” Bite stopped at 9:30. Go early and slow. 1 mph or less. Lost several before we got them in.
Good luck.

Tried today at West Hill trolled for 3 hours had a fish on but lost it and had another 2 bites. Ended up with a big fat 0. was a nice day on the water. Came home to a call from a friend that had fresh yellowfin and sword steaks for me. I guess the canons are on fire. they had 5 swords on and landed 2.
