Grass Bass Kicked My Azz 8/19

I decided to fish a grass choked area of the river after work.
I had to slog through a field of thick river grass before I finally made it to the channel edge and the open water.
The heat and humidity had me lathered up just getting to the fishable water.

I worked my way up river and managed 2 solid chunks and missed a 3rd strike on a soft jerkbait.

When I went to change my leader I realized my spool of leader material was missing!
Reluctantly, I called it and trudged my way back to shore and headed out.

When I got home I found the missing spool of line on my workbench…. Uggghhh It sucks to get old!

Not a great trip but one heck of a leg workout for sure!

Who says fishing isn't a cardio workout? Ya got a few!

Fishing, catching and exercising at the same time, priceless.

Never forget your leader. Got a couple anyways.
