There has been a lot of that going around. Lol.

Fwiw, the majority of the recent bites have been jigging or live baiting. It's pretty easy to bring up whiting or even squid on hi/low bottom rigs.. Put them out on a ballon rigged so they are 10-20 feet above the bottom.

If you want the big kids, use live bluefish or mackerel.

And if you really want a fun day, load up with peanuts if you can find them.

Trolling can work, but its a much harder bite since the fish are holding deep.

Ahh, memories. When I was his age, I was a caddie at a club that made caddies carry the bags, even if the member rented a cart. Brutal, sweaty work. They basically hired bag mules for cash and it was all under the table.

Kudos to him for finding cash work with no paperwork. Just make sure he reports his income. Greetings Mates. I am looking for any recommendations for charters or info out of Scituate MA during the week of August 10-15. Offshore Sharks or Tuna or Combo and/or Inshore Bass or mixed bag. I will be there on a family vacation staying north of the Lighthouse, so I will be surf fishing at night on the beach and around the docks and with my Coast Guard pals if I can find them. I’m looking at booking a 6-man charter and would love to see the young men cranking sharks all day however, there are only three strong young men and the older me and I am good with watching the show/helping mate. I am up for anything, especially a fluke run out to The Banks if anyone knows anything about that. Either way, let me know what you know or advise.
