Fact is,
That picture is Bass-Ackwards.
The Fishing Access points are all on the Eastern Side (facing the main channel of the river), not the Western Side (like it appears in the picture).

I never have been to the shore down in Milford until last Thursday and I took 2 grandchildren down to Silver Sands. Was low tide and we made the walk out to Charles Island. Beautiful park. With the tide out, plenty shallow water for the 2 kids to play in with grampa !

With only 3 feet of water we are nearly over our heads. We don't clam in anything over 2 feet but we get there by boat so it is always loaded. Rich throws the big clams back and he has filled his bucket half way before I am even ready to hop over board. I keep everything, the chowders, cherry stones, top necks, middle necks and the legal sized little necks for the ladies. And any oysters that come up on top of the clam fork tines.
