Posted by: waynesworld
on: 08/19/10 11:55 AM

I went out in my Panga yesterday to do some bottom fishing and in my haste forgot the bait! so to make the best of things I used artificials and on my first drift hooked into what I thought was a hefty Snapper...Wrong it was a 5' Black Tipped Reef shark that I lip gaffed and instantly turned my gaff into a pretzel.Amazing it hit a bucktail and I landed it with no wire leader...

Lots of life in the area with Whales jumping completely out of the water, sea turtles, dolphin and even a few Wahoo alongside the boat that wouldn't touch a bucktail...I had to at least try!...Time to rig up a livewell.
