I have caught rock bass (not thru the ice) in the cove up by the beach,
But I was in the middle of the lake in 30' of water.

It's just too cold for the fish to bite, sounds crazy but I truly believe it.
You would think that it wouldn't make a difference how cold it is to the fish BUT it really does.
