B.A.W.S has been hosting tournaments since 2005 and is focused on learning and friendly competition. We are currently looking for boaters and non-boaters to join. Our members are a mix of seasoned veterans and beginners so all are welcome.

B.A.W.S tournaments are 5-fish limit team format catch and release. We rotate teammates each tournament to encourage learning and discourage cheating.

Our trail consists of 8-10 tournaments per season across CT and VT usually within an hour ride from Hartford.

Some advice for those of you on a waiting list that have sponsors (know current members); show up at the club, offer to help with event set ups & take downs, work parties. The club I am in (20 yrs) has a waiting list . The guys that are serious about joining show up regularly and are usually voted in in less than 6 months as openings become available. If they can place a face to a name your process can be expedited. Most clubs are looking for folks that participate and pitch in to help. It takes a lot of labor to keep these places up and fully functional, get in with the hand full of folks doing a majority of the work and you will be in a club fast. vnhben - where are you located ? we are a TBF affiliated club, and a lot of our members also fish NE Bassin trails. we're actually having our meetings in Milford now , very close to the post mall...p.m me for more detailed info.... we also have a website I started www.scbaonline.com

Northern Connecticut Bass Anglers is currently taking applications for new members for our tournament based fishing club. We are a group of avid fisherman who enjoy the outdoors and fishing local lakes in rives in the lower New England area. We welcome both boater and non boaters as well as all levels of skill. We are a teaching club who fish 9 tournament style fishing events in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, licenses mandatory.
