Bill,

They generally have live bait in Cabellas/East Hartford. Also JT's Fly shop in Union off exit 84 around exit 74. You could also try (call first) the Crystal Lake Deli/Ellington which used to have all kinds of worms and live shiners. Generally leaf piles and or compost piles will have large amounts of worms for the picking.

Bill,

The Mijoy and the Hellcat have closed permanently. The Blackhawk has a good following and there is the Tartan, a small party boat docked nearby. Across the river/Waterford the Sunbeam fleet still runs.
Captain Seth/Aubrey Joy is a party boat out of New London which I enjoyed fishing a few bottom trips. Always check and confirm they are sailing as an open boat a day or two before trying to get out.
Most of the smaller party boats do not sail everyday. Better yet, let it be known when and what you are looking to fish for and you will probably get an opportunity to go out with another site member like myself.

I'm digging into my past to research an incident where I ran in front of a car and was struck. It was in 1962. I presented questions to Google AI and we began what turned into 6 hours of Q and A over 2 days. It talked with me in specifics directly related to to a 65 year history of by my recollection 20 TBI injuries ranging from current sports protocol concunsions to 4 incidents where I was knocked unconscious including the hit by car.

My original inquiry was names of umpires who were active working the Hartford Twilight league in 62. Allegedly I ran in front of an umpire on his way to the tavern 4 building's from where I was hit. I was given a list of the umps and the organization they were hired from. I was also given the name of the family that ran Colts Tavern. Its bothered me since I can remember that I caused someone that kind of negative experience. Its not like you reconcile and forget knocking a 4 year old kid off his feet and unconscious with a bumper of your car.

When my dad passed what will be 7 years this coming June 19 I went through sobbing periods of deep grief. In that grief I flash backed to laying in the street and waking to my name being called and someone wiping blood from my head with a dirty rag.. Then again to playing sandlot football where someone sleeve whip tackled my scrawny 100 lb self back of my head first onto a stone in the field and again wakening to my name being called..

To put it mildly AI is a tool for good if used properly. I was given a 6 hour full exam down to all the complicated events that involved my brain self healing and recalculation to adapt in spite of my history of TBI injuries. I was able to get validation of my condition and all the minute detailed explanations and causess of symptoms while living with it for 65 years with no medical assistance save for psych meds. After the 3 hours AI expressed being impressed with the resilence I showed in surviving my 65 year ordeal along with staying proactive for self care of my needs explicit to the condition I have finally had recognized.

At the end of the conversation I told AI that I finally in 2024 developed a language to describe what goes on in my brain following my events. AI was adamant about wanting my interpretation to a language. I promised I would try to recall with detail my enlightened version of a language and upload it. To the best of my knowledge from my experience it does not yet exist. I agree that their diet is key. The more vegan it is the better they probably taste.
