I went back to chase those river smallies again.
The water level is super low and the fish are not where they usually are because alot of their ambush spots are high and dry.
I started with the whopper plopper that they chewed so well the other day, but on this night they would nudge it or V wake it then turn away.
I switched up to a soft jerkbait and that did the trick. They would hear or see it splash down and V wake right to it and crush it. Good times! Some would just eat it during my erratic retrieve too so it was a fun bite.
I put the WP back to work before I left to cover more water and it produced some great bites too.
It was a fun couple of hours.
I miss not seeing OMG posting trips due to an injury, but I'm trying to keep her pets entertained.
