Yes!! They finally went ahead and placed a 50 fish limit on Bunker. That's wonderful news for fisherman!! That wont make a dent in the overall stock but will most definitely help our local area(s). The bunker bandits will longer clean out our harbors and the larger fish will stick around longer.

Like I told you guys when this came up for public input, read the reg. it applies to rod and reel and cast net; gill net and comm. are still unlimited. I haven't found the actual wording on the final but that is how it was proposed.
I believe it was per person, and not per vessel as well. Alls you have accomplished is opening the door to regulating the rec. sector out of the fishery.

Reading the whole list of fish, you can only wonder if the fisheries people actually wonder if they "think" what they're doing is successful.

I'm confident they don't believe their own biomass data.

Think about it......does anyone there really think putting the limit on Weakfish to 1 fish will bring back the biomass??

Do you think they believe that limiting winter flounder to 2 fish will recover the fishery?

This is all pure crapola........

John, I think they are trying to trend everything down to a catch limit of zero. There seems to be a movement to punish boat fishermen and to promote shore fishing in urban areas. This is the redistribution of recreational fishing enjoyment.
