Controlling your preferred color scheme for viewing the entire board.

Go to My Stuff / My Preferences / Your preferred stylesheet

Check out some of the various color schemes you can choose from.

Have fun!

View or Hide the Right Column
Like a wider view of the board? You can turn the right column off and on at any time.

Go to My Stuff / My Preferences and change your choice for:

Turn off the right column?

If you do turn it off, beware that you might miss some information only posted in the right column.

Threaded View

There's another way you can view topics called "Threaded View"

To switch to this view for a topic, click on "Topic Options / Switch to Threaded Mode"

Then, if you scroll down to the bottom of the post, you can see a threaded view of all of the replies...

If you like this view, you can switch to this viewing mode for the entire board by changing it in your profile. Go to "My Stuff / My Preferences / Topic Display Mode"

You can embed YouTube, Google, Photobucket and other hosted video files directly into your posts.

Here's how:

YouTube
Look for the letters and numbers in the URL for your video after "v="

For example, for this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in10pwNhqQg

the string is in10pwNhqQg

To embed the video, put that string in between starting and ending brackets with the word "youtube" like this.

 Code:
[youtube]in10pwNhqQg[/youtube]

And the video will appear in your post...

-------------------------------------------------------

Google Video
Look for the string starting with and including the dash.

For this video:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2097545789331379109

it would be -2097545789331379109

To embed the video, put that string in between starting and ending brackets with the word "googlevideo" like this.

 Code:
[googlevideo]-2097545789331379109[/googlevideo]

And the video will appear in your post...

-------------------------------------------------------

Photobucket Video
While on your video page, copy the code for HTML Tag - Websites & Blogs on the lower right.

It will look something like this:
 Quote:
<`embed width="448" height="361"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"
src="http://vid127.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=
http://vid127.photobucket.com/albums/p146/tmack92/thresherJuly1st2007012-1.flv
"><`/embed>

You'll want to use just the code that is in red.

To embed the video, put that string in between starting and ending brackets with the word "photobucket" like this.

 Code:
[photobucket]http://vid127.photobucket.com/albums/p146/tmack92/thresherJuly1st2007012-1.flv[/photobucket]

And the video will appear in your post:
