Perhaps it'd be worth putting a boat in the water now instead of waiting for any ice?

The fish may still be swimming around in a school, which may increase the odds of catching any. I've seen this at Black Pond all the time back when I used to fish there a lot years ago, the fresh stocked trout would school around for about 2 weeks then start to disperse.

Just might be something to think about folks...
