I think it's pretty cool the state dropped these big fish in a few spots across the state. If I still had young children , I would take them and see if THEY can hook into one. Great way to get some new young blood addicted to the great sport of fishing and the outdoors.
When I first started trout fishing a big trout was 12 to 18ins. Today it is 18 to 20 lbs. How thing have changed in 65 yrs. For the fellow that wants his son to catch one it would be the biggest trout he will ever catch and he will have nothing to look forward too.

One of my employees caught a beast the other day. 17 lb brown on a little swedish pimple. He said she was letting eggs go like crazy, so he let her go. (I thought it was odd that she still had eggs). The picture is amazing. He also had caught 30-40 other trout in the same area.
