Why do I live in CT? I don't anymore and there is no chance of me ever returning! The only thing I miss is Long Island Sound!
I lived in CT because that was where I was born and where I worked until retirement. After I retired I moved down to Florida where I can fish year round. Florida does not tax my pension; CT would. Nope I will not return. I am in Giods waiting room to stay!

I think that goes for most of us. Save a trailer/Bungalow for me in Florida. I will be there in 200 pounds or 15 years. 2nd home in RI.

Hey shellfish I bought a place in Kissimmee where are you from there? 2 things I won’t miss are taxes and shoveling snow.

In the context of living and raising a family in NYC metro suburbs, and commuting...

1) NJ
2) NY...Westchester County or Long Island
3) CT...Fairfield County

CT has the lowest property taxes, public schools in select towns are top in the US, most bang-for-the buck real estate, easiest access to skiing/fishing in New England, and LIS....I can fish in the AM and be at work by 9:00.

CT has significant issues...budget, infrastructure, leadership, etc. NJ/NY all have/had similar challenges...CT is having its "moment".
