1st may sure you know the rules of the road.
What I mean is that the vessel running with the tide should have the right of way, as they will have the least amount of steerage.

Also it doesn't hurt to be curteous and allow a bigger boat to go first as transiting the Niantic Railroad Bridge can be an adventure on a busy day.

Next, you should aways listen to channel 13 while transiting.

Lastly, as you proceed issue a Secrutiy Call like this

"SECURITY, SECUTITY THIS IS THE VESSEL XXXXXXX INBOUND (or outbound) THE NIANTIC RAILROAD BRIDGE. THE VESSEL XXXXXX IS STANDING BY ON CHANNELS 13 AND 16 FOR ALL CONCERNED TRAFFIC."
