I think this happens at virtually every state boat launch.
At Ball Pond the parking lot always has some vehicles belonging to folks who walk around the pond or up into the neighborhoods.
The Candlewood launch at Squantz Pond state park will have cars parked with people that then go over to Squantz to avoid paying the park entrance fee.
