Rabbits can only be killed during legal season Oct- Feb. Some sparrows are threatened or endangered songbirds and you cant kill those. Starlings are considered pests in some states but i'm not sure in CT. Chipmunks are cute so don't kill those. Wood Chucks are open game in late may and you can kill those if you have a hunting license and don't have close neighbors.
