Well that's interesting about under 16 not needing VDS in daytime... I also see that you don't need a fire extinguisher (<16) if you don't have permanent gas tanks and or enclosed areas. Not that I would choose to go out with these anyway... but flares do tend to expire, and I've gotten warnings in the past. My boat is 15.5... but I will have to start carrying the registration on board in order to prove it if need be I guess. And I guess I'll need to carry a copy of the regs too in order to prove that as well.
