We conducted an electrofishing survey this past spring after the lake refilled. We were pleasantly surprised to find that almost all fish species held over well in the pool of water that remained during the drawdown. As you can see from the data in our survey below (follow link to our web page), fish densities (numbers of fish caught per hour of electrofishing) were just fine! Unlike some other lakes that in the past have been completely drained, Beseck needed no remedial stocking to replenish its fish populations.
