From Hartford: Take Route 44 west to Route 318 east in Barkhamsted. At 4 way stop go straight over steel bridge and take first left onto East River Road. Pavilion is approx. 1 1/2 miles up on the left at the Matthies Grove Recreation Area. From Rte 8: Take Route 44 east to Route 318 east in Barkhamsted. At 4 way stop, go straight over steel bridge and take first left onto East River Road. Pavilion is approx. 1 1/2 miles up on the left at the Matthies Grove Recreation Area. From Route 91: Take Route 20 west to Rte. 219 in West Ganby. Follow 219 to Rte318 in Barkhamsted. Go over the Saville dam. At the stop sign go left. Just before the steel bridge take a right onto East River Road. Pavilion is approx. 1 1/2 miles up on the left at the Matthies Grove Recreation Area.
