Headed down to NJ last night to check out Metallica on the Death Magnetic tour. They played for almost 2.5 hours, and with the exception of "Nothing Else Matters", the show was balls to the wall metal. Great mix of new stuff and old, and the boys are sounding great. Awesome to hear half the show consisting of Lightning, Kill Em All, and Puppets. Here's the set list. If you are a fan, I'd highly recommend seeing them on the second leg.

Great set list. Wish I had the cash to go see them. Glad you enjoyed the show. I have come to really like this cd.
If you want to see one of the best metal bands of all time, Testament is playing at the Webster on 05/23. I'm going to be out of town that weekend and am bumming I can't make this show or their NJ date. I'm hoping they add a NYC date. I saw them last April in NYC in and they rocked! Out of all of the thrash bands still making music, I think they are the best.
I saw Testament at Streets in New Rochelle in 1988 and then open for Megadeth and Priest a couple years later. Its amazing they are still kicking ass 20 years later. Alex Skolnick has a couple side projects and you can catch him in some very small clubs. I think he just played in Pawling NY and there is a gig on his website for 4/25 in Danbury.www.alexskolnick.com
