I went back to rogers today, The lake is even lower.
Doesn't the state stock this lake? This is a trophy trout lake!!!, they also stock walleye, How come the Lake authority has control of the water level? I think the state should stop stocking this lake till they get control of the water level.
If you can't get your boat in there, how are you suppose to fish?
Somebodys not doing there job!!!

I would rather cast the wrong lure in the right spot,
than the right lure in the wrong spot!!!!

Maybe not being able to get your boat in there is the idea behind having it drawn down so far this late in the season.
It would be quite amusing if this is a dry spring and they couldn't close the gate. Let um smell muck all summer!!!!!

I have no idea why the lake authority has control over it, especially since it is state stocked. I am a resident (and therefore an Assn. MEMBER) and I guess even I could not launch my boat right now, which I am going to need to do soon to get it in the water for the season. From one perspective, it would be amusing to see it be mud all summer, but I don't think it is worth losing the fish population over. Something really needs to be done about this and no one seems to have answers. Even though I am technically in the Assn., I really can't make contact with anyone, the town never responds, and the state says they have no authority in the matter. What the H.E. double-toothpicks is going on here!!??

I was out there last week, and the reigning Fed Angler of the year was out there running around with a big skeeter,(150-225 hp)..... A) illegal per lake rules,.....B) blatant stupidity, so maybe they don't want to listen and watch jackasses breaking laws that have been in place for years?????? just my thought.....mostly far fetched I agree, but hey the timing was impeccable..rolleyes and there's always 1 that can ruin it for everyone.....

We have a State Boat Launch, bought and maintained by Ct residents, the State stocks the lake with trout & Walleye with our money. Yet the lake is run by the town. Why? this is a trophy trout lake, the water should be up to full pool, so Ct residents can enjoy our fishing.

I know it is outrageous. I am still not sure what to do about it. The lake level is not even controlled by the town, it is the Lake Association, of which I am unfortunately required to be a member, because I live on the lake, but which I can assure you is governed by people who surely do not have the knowledge to properly manage a lake.

Call the state and complain about all the silt going over the dam and clouding up the spillway.

My father and I have called the Lake Authority head (who is currently in FLORIDA) and he said that they are "done with the winter drawdown" and just draining off the extra water from the rain. We'll see how much they let out. He also said that the last time it rained and they kept the gate open that they let it down to normal levels, which was obviously not the case, because I practically had a beach in front of my house. BTW there is no way they would let me on any controlling board, etc. on that lake authority. They seem to want to ignore any environmental and recreational impact their actions might have and I think they would just see me as a threat to their agenda, as I care too much about the health of the lake and its fish populations.
