I made the mistake of hunting out of season back when I was about 17, or so. I had a GREAT Waterfowl am, and even read the previous years regs so I was " all legal " They could have confiscated my gun , and I'm sure much more. I pleaded not guilty due to my good attitude, age, and I even had the guide with me ! ! In the end, I ended up paying $100.00 to T.I.P.

If you pay the fine your license can be suspended for up to one year. If this is your first offense, it may not be suspended. If you do receive a suspension notice you will be given the opportunity to request a hearing where you can explain what happened. The hearing board has the option of rescinding the license suspension (if you get suspended).

FYI, if you have to go that route, I have been present at that hearing process (with someone else) and it's a very interactive, cordial process...pretty laid back. Worked out in his favor too.

Thank you for the explanation EnCon Police. I appreciate it.
unless they just added the ponds to the book, you probably won't get off.if they did add them to the book this year, you could say it didn't even come out yet.look at older books to be sure, just cuz you didn't know, doesn't make you not guilty.
