Update: Brother went down to the park 40 minutes after his call and the Officer had already "cleaned the shoreline". No one was even walking close to the water. We appreciate the officers of the law, and we know that they are doing their best despite the State hindering them. Thank you Captain, for all you and your staff does.

I fish fresh and salt as well as crab.Streams,rivers,ponds,lakes,bays,oceans.I buy a license so I can keep when I am going to eat it and throw back when I am not.

We lost 9 officers to the early retirement program last June. That's the bad news, the good news is that we just hired 2 replacement officers last week - they go to the police academy Friday, so we won't see them until late fall. We are hiring 2 more replacement officers who start this Friday. They are already POST certified police officers so they will start their field training right away and working on their own after about 12 weeks. We're still not up to levels we were years ago, but we're trying. That being said, I have no idea what impact the latest budget proposal before the legislature will have on us.
