ok, since initial arrests for poaching there was a increase of DEP patrols in this area,Several individuals where arrested a couple of times. Each time the fine amount was raised, it's a discretion of the Officer what the fine is for each infraction, Rumor mill says the last few times it was the max. One incident supposedly involved confiscation of a vehicle.

Now Norwich harbor has very few poachers taking blue crabs. Thank you DEP
