Mike, Just out of curiosity, do you know that they didn't have licences? Just because some people can't afford equipment that some of us are fortunate enough to own, does not make them criminals.

I'm with macattack, how did you know they didnt have licenses? Did you ask them to produce one? Or are we just assuming that because they were using hand lines that they didnt have them? Gotta be honest, if you just start walking up to people demanding to see their licenses you may end up in a bad spot.

Nothing wrong with handline but with saltwater license!
We used to wrap tarred line used to mend fishing nets around Schaeffer Beer cans when they were steel and damn if we didn't get good casts with them. Now I'm using ugly pink rods and rods that explode.
