Using a Muzzleloader durring Deer Shotgun season?

Is it true that CT just changed the regs to allow using a muzzleloader durring the gun seasons?
In most states it is legal to use a muzzleloader durring gun season but you have to tag the deer with a general season tag. My muzzleloaders are far more accurate than any shotgun I have ever seen.

I don't believe that is true at all. I haven't seen or heard anything on this. Matter of fact Encon just responded on another board about lesser weapons laws and said you couldn't use a ML during the shotgun/rifle season and that was on 11/2/10
They did just recently start allowing you the ability to use a bow on private land during gun season, which was great for me because some of the properties I hunt don't allow guns.
I wonder if the regulation is actually a lesser weapon law for private land...
