I've lived my whole life (30 years) near the Laurel Reservoir between Stamford and New Canaan, but I can't ever remember seeing anybody fish there. The perimeter is fenced off with "No Trespassing" signs posted every 30 feet or so. Is there any legal way to fish it? There have to be some monster fish in there. How deep is it anyway?

If it's posted no trespassing then it is private property. If the property owner gives you permission to fish there you can do so. Otherwise it's off limits.
Gotta love the Internet. For the heck of it, I did a Google search.

Laurel Reservoir is a reservoir located just 1.9 miles from North Stamford, in the state of Connecticut, United States. Fishermen will find a variety of fish including smelt, brook trout and steelhead trout here. Whether you’re baitcasting, spinning, net fishing or fly fishing your chances of getting a bite here are good.
Thank you for the responses. Aquarion is the same company that owns the land around the Saugatuck Reservoir. If you can get a permit to fish the Saugatuck, then maybe it's possible to get one for N. Stamford. Certainly worth a phone call anyway.

I think there is a BOT creating that description and using it to promote advertising. If you put some fictional lake name in there, you'll get the same thing. I'll try it....
