I noticed there are a number of species not listed as recorded for a largest fish in the state. i plan on doing a tommy cod trip this week, and would like to inevitably set the state record for tommy cod, but found this fish unlisted in the record section.

how does an angler go aboput introducing a new species to the record books, and then submiting the information for the catch?

thanks for any help. i plan on a massive tommy cod thursday, possibly over 1 pound.

I've thought the same thing for certain fish Mike.

Nothing in the freshwater book for redbreast sunfish and white sucker and nothing in the saltwater book for sea robin.

If bluefish were to grow as big as giant bluefins, then there would be nothing left out there except for blues!

If bluefish were the size of bluefin, I would poison the whole ocean.

HAHA! but i would! id love to get in the record books under SOMETHING just to say i did it, and garner some respect for some fish that get little credit.

for example, the state has bowfin, but as few as they are, there is no record for them. there is a record for triggerfish though, an exotic species...

joe sabas had a bowfin around 8 pounds this season outta scoville that would have been great to add to the record list. why not do something to garner more interest in fishing? anything helps right?

deep, chime in if ya can!

I enjoy having fun times with white suckers and hit a 4 pounder at Bunnells Pond in May this year. I'm sure there's plenty of 5+ in many places.
