The past few days along the Connecticut river across from Cromwell landing but on the Portland side I've been seeing an adult bald eagle hanging out in a large sycamore. It's the largest tree on that side of the river as far as I can see and figured he might be wanting to make a nest. Figured you'd want to know.

St. Clair River. Port Huron, MI.

They've been nesting in the area for some time.

In fact, Portland has re-scheduled their 4th of July fireworks until MUCH later in the year because the sound was freaking out the nestlings. The fireworks are held in the Portland fair grounds on/near the banks of the CT River, and the nestlings were panicking and jumping out of the nest when they went off.
