agreed. every year, you can feel something different in the air in the morning, like a bit of solemn rememberance.
that morning we sat in conducting class once word came, watching tower 2 fall. most of us in tears, the rest of us in bewildered disbelief. the city of danbury came to a standstill on the streets as word spread. i remember being able to hear a pindrop across campus.
Today on the way to school, my son said there was some "event" at school and kind of rolled his eyes in a sarcastic way (as any 15 year boy might do). He was 4.5 when it happened.
I pulled the car over and we talked about Sept 11th for a few minutes. He gets it now, I can assure you.
Peace !

We have already forgotten why 9/11/01 happened and we will pay a high price in the very near future I believe.
We forget that the entire Islamic world rejoyced that day and still do, I remember on 9/11/01 while Israel and many other nations shed a tear with us, there was dancing in the streets in Cairo, Ramallah, Ammon, Gaza, West Bank, Tehran, ad nauseum.
And now we stand by while Iran gets nukes...what do you think they will do when they get them? ...they have already said...
And we shame the memory of all the victims that were murdered that day by Islamic extremists.
No, I just wanted to know what you meant by what you said. It almost sounded like you were saying that they attacked us because we are such a "God-less" country. I am not saying you believe that, but I have met people that use the tone you used say that. I just wanted to clear it up. I don't want to stir anything up today.

Was watching last night "Voices from 9-11" which had a bunch of voicemails and calls from people stuck in the towers. Very upsetting show.
