Kev. It has been stated before that a picture on your phone is not legal. I don't know if that has changed. I also seem to remember laminating was a no-go. Or maybe that was just resizing it... I just do like cap's says a print a ton of copies.

I do think a picture on your phone or the ability to pull up the record on your smartphone should do. I actually think that if you purchased the license at all, and you have proof of ID that should be enough.

Both are fine but DO NOT laminate the thermal paper. That was the problem, they will turn black.

Cap, is there a problem with shrinking it down?

I even give copies to friends I fish with in the event I end up on their boat without my wallet.

Hahaha, actually, during the summer, at the marina, it's not uncommon to go from sitting around in a swimsuit drinking ice cold beers, to jumping aboard someone's boat for an afternoon bass trip so we have something to grill for dinner. It's hard to remember everything when you have beer goggles on, so I try to plan in advance! biggrin

I wouldn't, the text is kind of small already, you shrink it to much and nobody will be able to read it. And yes, you can laminate...but like Frank said the thermal paper will turn black if it's a heat laminator. If you just use the sticky clear laminate then it won't turn black, the thermal paper will just fade away.

Paper and water don't mix. The paper no matter how many copies you print, is still just a bad idea.

I could probably make a new license every year with nothing more than a copy machine and some whiteout.

I do like the idea of keeping it on the phone. Thanks

....If we have any say... Vote for May

That must explain the 432 tickets that have been written to your fishing license in 2012! biggrin We just thought that yours was a really common name and all of you had the same date of birth and address.......

Hahahaha!!!!! Figures that Riptide and 431 of her friends would run out and rob the sea while using my license!

Good thought though. I always thought an Officer might ask enough questions to be sure the license really belonged to said person, but I suppose someone could try to be me. I might rethink what seemed like a great idea the past couple years......
