I'm confused....... The boat still needs to be registered. The DMV's boaters registration application requires a Safe Boaters Certificate Number.
The only way this could work is if you don't have to have the boat registered on those waters. wtf ?????

Skip, any thoughts about this?

Yes thanks for clarifying skip.. Always good to know every little change.

It looks like it came out of the Environment Committee:

Here's the Environment committee report - looks like Rep Craig Minor submitted it:

Hopefully Mr. Minor will next enact a bill not limiting the combination of me pizza toppings to include 2 of the five following items at non-union owned pizza shops offering employment to currently enrolled students under the age of 25 who have completed a state-mandated food-service safety oral exam.

Anchovies
Canadian bacon
Mushrooms
Onions
Pineapple

Now I'm really confused.
Craig Minor seems like a level headed no nonsense kind of guy.
Could this be an example of a good idea morphed into ludicrous after a bunch of politicians gets their hands on it?

Alison, I think that is exactlt what it is. I dont believe that they realized that DMV requires any boat with a motor to be registered and that the SBC is required to register a boat.

So now we have one regulation that says I don't have to have a SBC and another one that says I do?????
