I just bought a house in Plainfield. 1/3 of a mile from patchaug outdoor club. Can I build a berm and shoot pistols and a 22 rifle on my property? I have 3 acres in back and its all woods behind that. Lots of gunfire in area some days already, I dont think the neighbors would care. I know its 500 feet from house when hunting but not sure about target shooting. Thanks......

We have nothing to do with target shooting off of DEEP owned property. That's an issue that you need to check with the local police about.

Believe 500ft rule applies to neighbors.

500 ft rule is a hunting law. Target shooting is not covered by any state statute or regulation other than if you start shooting at a neighbor's house/dog/car, etc. Then criminal charges apply.

Is it ok to target shoot on private land, with landowners permssion , on sundays, without getting pinche'd for hunting on a sunday. Will be shooting in the woods.

Not hunting at all. Put a new scope on my 17 and want to get it sighted in so I can go hunting.
