Is there a minimum acreage requirement for the use of centerfire rifle on private land for hunting coyote? Is it the same as deer? There is nothing specific listed. Thank you

i believe its illegal if its out of deer season, you would need deer tags also to carry.its how it was years ago,it may be different now.something to do with it looks like your poaching deer out of season if your carrying a centerfire.

No, there is no restriction for rifles on private land for small game. The rifle/caliber restriction is a deer regulation. Just make sure the property owner gives you permission to be there. Common sense should always play a part though....if it's a 2 acre parcel in the middle of a development I strongly recommend you not go in there with a .223, 22.250, 30.06 or something similar. While it may be legal it will just upset the neighbors who will probably call their legislators, and you know how things can go sideways at that point.
Thanks for the clarification. Don't plan on shooting in someones back yard!!! Enough screwballs out there already. Wanted to be sure on the regs before pursuing other properties to hunt. Thanks.
